google android plush bag!!!

if you like android, you'll love this!

my birthday gift - a 30cm tall green android zipper bag, with detachable arms & legs and is water-resistant.  the shell is  supposed to be strong and big enough to hold my Nikon D40X with lens on :-)

i've seen other android plush dolls (e.g. 1, 2, 3 & 4) but they're not nearly as cute or functional as this one.  in fact it's so professionally done, that i did for a moment think it's officially made by google. what a great addition to my collection of schwags =p

to android fans out there: you can also make your own android plush - and even sell them if you wish - provided that you give attribution to google like below (see small text on the paper tag).  it's a creative commons attribution-only license.  more information about it here: http://www.android.com/branding.html

spread the love!

Love the bag, one thing that interests me is how does your comment system work, seems to integrate comments from flickr and other forums?

  22. laihiu on January 11th, 2010

the easiest way - by copy & paste lol :)

i used to rely on a wordpress plugin which imports flickr comments into wordpress posts, but i've deactivated it since my last upgrade. you should probably check out this other one which sounds quite promising:

    http://www.sanisoft.com/blog/2009/12/15/wordpress-plugin-live-flickr-comment-importer/

  43. laihiu on January 13th, 2010

    @dartballstar

you're right, it's a hand-made phone case featuring the little green robot :-) i bought it on etsy:

    http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38297993

there's also this android USB 4GB from the official google store (note: this is their non-US store - the item was sold out at the US store):

  92. Mubarak [on phandroid] on January 17th, 2010

While this bag is no doubt awesome I hardly think it’s the best bday gift ever. That honor would go to the nexus one imo. That is until the droid2 or nexus2 or whatever comes out and bests the nexus one.

  93. Del [on phandroid] on January 17th, 2010

@Mubarak: By that logic the best birthday gift ever will technically never be invented, considering that once the next big phone comes out a week/month or so later they’ll announce an even better phone, and then after that another phone that will best the previous one. It’s a vicious cycle.

  94. Paulman on January 17th, 2010

@Mubarak @Del - Actually, I should point out that I think the reason this gift was so well received is because of the thought and heart put into it by the giver. Sentimentality, you know?
