android - hero - love :)
running android cupcake on my HTC Hero - the first phone i ever bought!
people ask why i didn't get an iphone....all i can say is, i'm not an apple person, i need a phone that i can freely play with and modify, so android is all for me! not to mention that the Sense UI is by far the best implementation of android yet! with support for widgets and flash and what not! also has a teflon coating which feels and looks like a white thermal tile out of NASA's shuttle! haha played around with it for 3 days and i'm still in awe :-)
when i went to buy a screen protector for the Hero, when i showed them my phone they're like, "WHAT PHONE IS THAT?" XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
thanks to dave i got the phone before it's even for sale in Hong Kong =D

I have been waiting to get the US version of this phone since it was announced. Reviews are saying that the the Sense UI is laggy, is it really that bad?
not laggy so far, but perhaps the reviews are comparing it with the iphone's touch which i heard is a tad bit smoother :)

yea...the last one was a nokia 6288 that my dad won in a lucky draw -_- haha
this is a UK version of the phone, so the interface is all in English, but can still display Chinese in SMS, browser, etc. =)

there's no need...the phone auto links your phone no. with your facebook profile and downloads your profile pic (and other details) for my use haha

Right, but since I am in wifi covered area 90% of the time that is ok for me. The US version of the Hero will be a CDMA phone, so I am not really looking forward to it. The Canada version will be GSM and will have US-compatible 3G support, but it probably won't be released till the end of the year.

yea i totally gave up on the G2 after seeing the real thing in the 3 shops :P
I need hardware keyboard, so I will wait for Motorola Morrison or Sholes to replace my G1.

is it good? read mixed comment about this particular build of android phone.
most of the reviews i read gave the hero thumbs up....but of course it all depends on your use. if you're happy with apple then i don't think you'll like android a lot..=p
