i'm not PHP-savvy enough to manage the PHP 4 hacks on my own. any chance you'd be willing to post the changed version of the plugin?
hi adam, i'd be happy to help...unfortunately, i've heavily customized the script so it doesn't only fit php4 but also modified to suit my blog structure =p but of course, if you don't mind i can still send you my scripts :)
i saw that you did, and of course i'd have to further brutalize it to fit my own template/feeds/aesthetic :) so yeah, you can use my contact email, if you're willing.

Great job on your Lifestream. That's quite a list of items you got there. I too am a recent Lifestreamer. I’ve also recently posted a story (Lifestream - Could it be the next big thing?) regarding the birth of the concept, as well as providing a few resources, one of them being a list of people who have created them.
